Job Summary
Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee will be trained to become a Safelite-certified Technician through a hands-on and classroom program. Responsibilities include observing and assisting with auto glass installation/repair, recalibrating automotive safety systems, troubleshooting, and providing additional services. Trainees will study to pass testing for Safelite certification, operate company vehicles and tools, and uphold high customer service standards. Starting pay is $21.25/hour with progression to $25.25/hour after training/certification; benefits include 401(k) matching, medical plans, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and paid training. Education preferred includes a High School Diploma or GED; must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old. Proficiency with diagnostic tools, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and good communication skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent Preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
- Ability to operate tools and perform recalibrations and diagnostic testing
- Ability to read, write, and interpret English and follow directions
- Willingness to learn and obtain Safelite-certified Technician status
