Job Summary
Tech Trainee will be trained to become an auto glass technician through hands-on and classroom instruction, including observing/assisting in installing and repairing auto glass, recalibrating automotive safety systems, and studying to become Safelite-certified. The role emphasizes a service mindset, safety, and quality workmanship, with paid training, competitive pay starting at $20.25/hour (rising after training/certification), and benefits; the trainee will gain fundamental skills for unsupervised glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations and will operate company vehicles/tools while adhering to policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfort with using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret English language and technical directions
- Ability to pass training and certification requirements
Desired Qualifications
