Job Summary
Technician Trainee will be trained to become an auto glass technician through hands-on and classroom training, culminating in Safelite SafeTech certification. Responsibilities include observing and assisting in installing and repairing auto glass, recalibrating automotive safety systems, troubleshooting and performing diagnostic testing, providing additional services and products, and maintaining professionalism while delivering outstanding customer service. The role involves safely operating company vehicles and tools, and meeting performance standards to achieve timely, high-quality installations and calibrations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability to read, write and interpret English and technical directions
- Willingness to learn through hands-on and classroom training
- Ability to pass testing to become Safelite-certified Technician
