Job Summary
Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite performs repair, replacement, and recalibration of vehicle glass for customers at a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop. Responsibilities include delivering safe, high-quality service, operating tools (True Seal®, Ezi-WireTM, Glass Table System), recalibrating automotive safety systems, completing diagnostic testing, handling customer communications, and maintaining professionalism and safety. The role involves driving company vehicles, lifting up to 50 pounds, and complying with safety and company policies. Compensation starts at $20.25/hour with progression to $24.00/hour after training, plus incentive payouts, benefits, tuition reimbursement, and paid training. Education includes a High School Diploma/GED preferred and valid driver’s license; must be 18+ and capable of physically demanding tasks. Location is Baxter, MN, US, in-person work. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate a company vehicle
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and be monitored via in-cab camera/video surveillance
- Commitment to customer service and quality workmanship
- Willingness to work flexible start/end times to accommodate customer needs
- Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Ability to read and interpret English language and technical directions
- Professional appearance and adherence to PPE policies
