Job Summary
Trainee will be trained to become a Safelite-certified Auto Glass Technician through hands-on and classroom training, performing glass installation, repair, and recalibration tasks under supervision before achieving unsupervised technician duties. Responsibilities include observing and assisting in installations, recalibrating automotive safety systems, performing diagnostic testing, providing additional services to customers, studying to pass certification tests, operating company vehicles and tools, and upholding safety, quality, and customer-service standards. The role offers paid training, competitive pay starting at $20.25/hour (rising to $24/hour after certification), benefits, tuition reimbursement, and a pathway to Safelite certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift 35-50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Ability to read, write and interpret English and technical directions
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and comply with safety policies
- Willingness to complete paid training and earn Safelite-certified Technician status
