Job Summary
Technician Trainee will be trained to become an auto glass technician. Upon completing the training program, the trainee will receive the Safelite SafeTech certification and perform auto glass installation, repair, and recalibration of automotive safety systems. Responsibilities include observing and assisting with installations, repairing glass, recalibrating systems, performing diagnostic testing, providing additional services/products, and maintaining professional appearance and safety standards. The role requires hands-on learning, use of tools and equipment, driving company vehicles, and engaging with customers to ensure timely, high-quality workmanship. The program offers paid training, competitive pay during and after training, benefits, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities to advance to a Safelite-certified Technician.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent preferred
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and comply with safety policies
- Willingness to complete training and obtain Safelite-certified Technician status
- Ability to read and interpret English language and technical directions
- Professional customer service and communication skills
