Job Summary
AutoCAD Drafter for pallet racking systems responsible for creating precise technical drawings and layout designs used in warehouse storage solutions. Works closely with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to develop customized racking configurations meeting client specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities include updating all projects in Netsuite, drafting on AutoCAD, coordinating with structural engineers and installation teams, submitting permits and coordinating site visits, and preparing cost estimates and project plans while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, or software)
- 1-2 years of experience in an engineering or drafting role
- Understanding of engineering principles, design, and problem-solving
- Basic knowledge of OSHA, IEEE, or ASME regulations/standards
- Drafting on AutoCAD
- Coordinate with structural engineer and project team
- Site visits before and after project completion
- Experience with project cost estimates and materials planning
- Experience updating projects in Netsuite
- Ability to coordinate with install team and field activities
- Ability to ensure compliance with codes, guidelines, and policies
