Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for the meticulous assessment and quality repair of vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition. Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles, realigns chassis, replaces or repairs damaged sections and parts (including glass and windshields), welds and repaints to factory-specified standards, and prepares cost estimates. Works to achieve KPIs and uphold the WOW operating standards while ensuring customer experience and brand integrity. Requires the ability to read job orders, work with minimal supervision, collaborate in a shop environment, and apply comprehensive repair knowledge gained through high school/technical training or an apprenticeship. Must be able to safely perform duties in a noisy environment and handle physical tasks as described; certification of safety and tool proficiency is implied by role responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
- Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
