Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for meticulous assessment and quality repair of each customer’s vehicle to restore it to pre-accident condition. Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles, realigns chassis/frames, replaces or repairs damaged sections, glass, interior parts, and performs welding and painting. Works to achieve Speed, Quality, and Customer Excellence while meeting labor-time guidelines and KPIs, uses tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers, and prepares cost estimates. Emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to the WOW operating plan; requires high school diploma or equivalent and technical training or apprenticeship. Willingness to collaborate with other repairers and to inspect vehicles post-repair to ensure quality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to read job orders
- Ability to work with very little supervision
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of tools required for the trade
