Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for meticulous assessment and quality repair of vehicles to restore pre-accident condition. Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles, realigns chassis/frames, replaces or repairs parts and glass, welds and paints as needed, and ensures work aligns with labor-time guidelines. Works with team members to meet facility KPIs and delivers a top-tier customer experience. Requires ability to read job orders, use auto body tools, lift up to 30 pounds, and operate in a potentially noisy environment. High school diploma or equivalent required, with technical schooling or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
