Job Summary
Assess and repair customer vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition by disassembling, replacing damaged sections, realigning frames, and applying filler resins. Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, and hydraulic jacks to fix dents, structural damage, and glass. Realign chassis, weld parts, and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint while planning repairs and preparing cost estimates. Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair. Ensure consistent execution of the WOW Operating Way plan and maintain alignment with team KPIs. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
- Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
- Ability to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds at times
- Ability to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
