Job Summary
Assess and repair customer vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition by disassembling, realigning frames, replacing damaged sections, and applying filler resins. Execute the WOW Operating Way plan by planning repairs, preparing cost estimates, and using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, and hydraulic jacks. Hammers out dents, welds parts, and repaints vehicles with factory-specified paint while inspecting work to ensure quality. Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and maintain alignment with team KPIs. Requires high school diploma, technical school completion, or three-year apprenticeship. Must work safely in noisy areas with odors, lift up to 30 pounds, and bend, stretch, kneel, and squat. Salary is $75,000+ annually depending on flagged hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
- Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
- Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
