Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles, efficiently plan repair processes, and perform quality repairs while monitoring on-time status. Remove upholstery, accessories, and trim to access vehicle components, then file, grind, and sand surfaces using power and hand tools. Communicate repair status with others and make decisions on repair versus replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Direct apprentices during unusual problems or questions by explaining procedures. Participate in required safety meetings and analyze measuring data. Requires I-CAR welding certification, frame machine skills, and ability to supervise. Commission/flag rate structure with medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
