Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for examining damaged vehicles and planning repair, communicating repair status, and performing quality repairs with on-time consideration. Responsibilities include deciding between repair vs. replace based on safety, cost, and cycle time; removing upholstery, electrical and hydraulic components to access areas; leading an apprentice when needed; and adhering to safety meetings. Required tools/skills include frame machine operation, measuring data analysis, and body-repair knowledge; I-CAR welding certification is required, with body repair certification preferred. Compensation is based on a flag-rate/commission structure within a full-time role at Crash Champions.
Required Qualifications
- I-CAR welding certified
- Certification in body repair (preferred)
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
