Decides between repair and replacement considering safety, cost, and cycle time; removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access panels; leads and guides apprentices when needed; utilizes frame machines and power/hand tools; participates in safety meetings; works with team to communicate repair status and ensure adherence to standards. Certifications in body repair and I-CAR welding, plus knowledge of vehicle repair processes, are valued for success in this role.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
