Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles, efficiently plan repair processes, and perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status. Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical, and hydraulic window equipment to gain access to vehicle components and fenders. File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools. Make critical decisions on repair versus replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Communicate vehicle repair status with team members and direct apprentice work on unusual problems or complex tasks. Participate in all required safety meetings and interpret measuring data for accurate repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
