Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles to efficiently plan repair processes and perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status. Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical equipment, and trim to access vehicle components, then file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools. Make critical decisions on repair versus replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Work and communicate with team members regarding vehicle repair status, direct apprentice tasks when needed, and participate in all required safety meetings. Utilize frame machines and analyze measuring data to execute repairs, ensuring adherence to manufacturer standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
