Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for examining damaged vehicles and planning repairs, communicating repair status, making repair-vs-replace decisions with safety, cost, and cycle time in mind. Performs quality repairs, removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access areas, files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power/hand tools, and directs an apprentice when needed. Requires frame-machine capability, I-CAR welding certification, and knowledge of repair processes; offers a comprehensive benefits package and a commission/flag pay structure; position located in Richardson, TX with standard in-person work arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Ability to use frame machine
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
