Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for examining damaged vehicles, planning repair processes, communicating repair status with teammates, and delivering quality repairs on time. Duties include deciding between repair vs. replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time; removing upholstery and related components to access areas; participating in safety meetings; finishing surfaces with grinding/sanding using power and hand tools; and directing the work of an apprentice when needed while explaining procedures. Requires frame-machine operation, I-CAR welding certification, knowledge of manufacturer repair processes, data interpretation skills, and the ability to supervise personnel. The role is full-time with a commission/flag pay structure and benefits package; located at 2727 S. Central Expressway, McKinney, TX 75070. A thorough background check is required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
