Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles, efficiently plan repair processes, and perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status. Communicate vehicle repair status with team members and make decisions on repair versus replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical, and hydraulic window equipment to gain access, then file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools. Participate in required safety meetings and direct apprentice work when needed to explain procedures and resolve unusual problems.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
