Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles, plan repair processes, and perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status. Remove upholstery, accessories, and trim to access vehicle components, then file, grind, and sand surfaces using power and hand tools. Communicate repair status with the team, make decisions on repair versus replace based on safety and cost, and direct apprentice work when needed. Participate in required safety meetings and analyze measuring data to interpret vehicle repair processes.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
