Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles to efficiently plan repair processes and make decisions on repair versus replace based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status, including removing upholstery, accessories, electrical equipment, and trim to access vehicle components. File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools, working and communicating with others on vehicle repair status. Direct the work of apprentices when needed to explain procedures and address unusual problems. Participate in all required safety meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
