Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles, plan repair processes, and perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status. Remove upholstery, electrical, and trim components to access vehicle areas, then file, grind, and sand surfaces using power and hand tools. Communicate repair status with team members and make decisions on repair versus replace based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Direct apprentice work on unusual problems or questions, ensuring all required safety meetings are participated in. Requires I-CAR welding certification, frame machine ability, and manufacturer repair process knowledge. Posted minimum pay is $65,000/year with a maximum of $174,600/year on a commission/flag rate structure.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
