Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for examining damaged vehicles and planning repairs; communicate repair status with teammates; perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status; decide between repair and replacement considering safety, cost, and cycle time; remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access areas; participate in safety meetings; file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools; supervise an apprentice when needed and explain procedures; must use a frame machine; I-CAR welding certification and related vehicle repair knowledge desirable; strong ability to analyze measuring data and supervise repair personnel; will pass a thorough background check; commission/flag pay structure with pay ranges reflected in the posted rate.
Required Qualifications
- I-CAR welding certified
- Certification in body repair preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
