Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for examining damaged vehicles and efficiently planning repair, coordinating with others on repair status, performing quality repairs on time, and making repair-vs-replace decisions based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Responsibilities include removing upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access areas, participating in safety meetings, filing/grinding/sanding repaired surfaces with power and hand tools, and directing an apprentice when needed while explaining procedures to assistants.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine.
- Certification in body repair preferred.
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
- I-CAR welding certified.
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
- Ability to supervise repair personnel.
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
