Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles to efficiently plan repair processes and make decisions on repair versus replace based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status, including removing upholstery, electrical components, and trim to access vehicle areas. Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power and hand tools while communicating repair status with the team. Direct the work of apprentices on unusual problems or questions when needed. Participate in all required safety meetings and utilize frame machines and measuring data for repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
