Job Summary
Auto Body Technician at Crash Champions responsible for examining damaged vehicles and planning repair, communicating repair status, and performing quality repairs with on-time targets. Makes decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time; removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window components, and trim to access body parts; participates in safety meetings; files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools; may direct the work of an apprentice and explain procedures. Requires ability to use a frame machine, I-CAR welding certification, knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer, and the ability to analyze measuring data; background check required; supervision of repair personnel may be needed.
