Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for examining damaged vehicles and efficiently planning repair, coordinating with teammates on repair status, performing quality repairs with on-time focus, and deciding between repair vs. replace by considering safety, cost, and cycle time. Responsibilities include removing upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to access the vehicle and fenders; directing apprentices when needed; and using frame machines, power tools, and hand tools to finish repairs. Requires knowledge of vehicle repair processes, and certification in body repair or I-CAR welding certification.
