Job Summary
Auto Body Technician at Crash Champions responsible for examining damaged vehicles, planning repair processes, and performing quality repairs to maintain on-time status. Makes decisions on repair vs. replacement considering safety, cost, and cycle time; removes upholstery, accessories, and related components to gain access to vehicle areas; participates in safety meetings; files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with power and hand tools; may direct and explain procedures to an apprentice. Requires frame-machine operation and I-CAR welding certification, knowledge of manufacturer repair processes, ability to supervise repair personnel, and ability to pass a background check. Compensation includes commission/flag pay with benefits and paid holidays; posted pay range is $65,000 to $150,840 per year.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Certification in body repair preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- I-CAR welding certified
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
