Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles, plan repair processes, and perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status. Remove upholstery, electrical, and trim components to access vehicle areas, then file, grind, and sand surfaces using power and hand tools. Communicate repair status with the team and make decisions on repair versus replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Direct apprentice work when needed by explaining procedures and supervising tasks. Participate in required safety meetings and utilize frame machines and measuring data to analyze vehicle conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
