Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles to efficiently plan repair processes and make decisions on repair versus replace based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Perform quality repairs by removing upholstery, accessories, and trim to access vehicle components, then files, grinds, and sands surfaces using power and hand tools. Communicate repair status with others and participate in all required safety meetings. Direct the work of an apprentice when needed by explaining procedures and addressing unusual problems. This role supports Crash Champions, the largest multi-shop operator of high-quality collision repair service in the U.S., which operates over 650 locations across 38 states.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
