Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles to efficiently plan and execute repair processes while maintaining on-time status. Perform quality repairs by removing upholstery, electrical systems, and trim to access fenders, then file, grind, and sand surfaces using power and hand tools. Make critical decisions on repair versus replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Communicate repair status with the team and direct apprentice work on unusual problems. Participate in all required safety meetings and interpret measuring data using frame machines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
