Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles, plan repair processes, and perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status. Remove upholstery, electrical, and hydraulic equipment to access vehicle components, then file, grind, and sand surfaces using power and hand tools. Communicate repair status with colleagues and make decisions on repair versus replace based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Direct apprentice work when needed by explaining procedures and answering questions. Participate in all required safety meetings and analyze measuring data to interpret vehicle condition.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
