Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles to efficiently plan and execute repair processes, including removing upholstery, electrical systems, and trim to access fenders. Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status, making critical decisions on repair versus replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time. File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using both power and hand tools while communicating repair status with the team. Direct apprentices on unusual problems or questions, explaining procedures as needed. Participate in all required safety meetings and maintain proficiency with frame machines and measuring data interpretation.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
