Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles to efficiently plan repair processes and make decisions on repair versus replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Perform quality repairs by removing upholstery, electrical equipment, and trim to access vehicle components, then file, grind, and sand surfaces using power and hand tools. Communicate repair status with the team and participate in all required safety meetings. Direct the work of apprentices when addressing unusual problems or explaining procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
