Job Summary
Examine damaged vehicles, efficiently plan repair processes, and perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status. Remove upholstery, accessories, and trim to access vehicle components, then file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools. Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status, making decisions on repair versus replace based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Direct the work of apprentices when needed by explaining procedures and answering questions. Participate in all required safety meetings and analyze measuring data to guide repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
