Auto Body Technician

Auto Body Technician at Crash Champions responsible for examining damaged vehicles and planning repairs, communicating repair status with the team, and delivering quality repairs while maintaining on-time status. Responsibilities include deciding between repair vs. replace based on safety, cost, and cycle time; removing upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to gain access to areas; participating in safety meetings; filing, grinding, and sanding repaired surfaces with power and hand tools; and directing the work of an apprentice when needed, including explaining procedures to assistants. Requires knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer, frame machine use, and (preferred) I-CAR welding certification. Demonstrates ability to supervise repair personnel and pass a thorough background check.
