Job Summary
Diagnose and repair damaged vehicles by examining the damage, planning the repair process, and communicating status. Make decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time. Remove upholstery, electrical and hydraulic window equipment, and trim to access damaged areas; direct and assist apprentices as needed. Participate in safety meetings; perform surface finishing with grinders, sands, and power/hand tools. Utilize a frame machine and apply I-CAR welding techniques; analyze measuring data and ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards. Lead and supervise repair personnel as required. Compensation includes a commission/flag pay structure with typical full-time expectations; comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use frame machine.
- Certification in body repair preferred.
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
- I-CAR welding certified.
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
- Ability to supervise repair personnel.
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
