Job Summary
Examines damaged vehicles and plans the repair process, communicates repair status with the team, and performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time status. Decides when to repair vs. replace components based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Removes upholstery, electrical and hydraulic components, and trim to access fenders, and directs an apprentice in tasks when needed, explaining procedures as required. Uses frame machine and power/hand tools; collaborates in safety meetings and contributes to measuring data analysis to ensure accurate repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in body repair preferred
- I-CAR welding certified
- Ability to use frame machine
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
