Auto Body Technician

Job Summary
Repair damaged vehicle body parts by analyzing, assessing, and fixing outer and internal structures in accordance with company specifications and time standards. Remove damaged components and install replacements using specialized tools to restore bodywork to its original condition, including realigning structural frames. Communicate with management regarding additional repairs, difficulties, or changes to completion times, while maintaining all tools, equipment, and safety protocols. Ensure the work area remains organized, clean, and hazard-free while complying with federal, state, and local regulations. Cooperate with other personnel during vehicle prep and repair based on schedule and expertise.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Solid working knowledge of the processes, techniques and materials used in repairing automotive equipment with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in the collision repair arena
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle structure to remove and replace damaged components, such as doors, windscreens and fenders
- Demonstration of safety precautions required in performing the work in this position
- Strong attention to detail in addition to the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strength to perform average lifting up to 35 pounds and occasionally over 70 pounds
- Demonstrated agility, equilibrium and coordination as required when climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and balancing under precarious conditions
- Strong arm, hand and finger dexterity with demonstrated physical capacity to reach, handle, and feel in tight confined spaces with limited visibility
- Ability to work in high performance, fast-paced production environment
