Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for the meticulous assessment and repair of vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition. Performs disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicles, realigns chassis, replaces or repairs parts and glass, welds and paints to factory standards, and ensures work orders are completed within labor time guidelines. Uses tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers; inspects vehicles for quality and communicates effectively to provide an exceptional customer experience. Works as part of a team to meet facility KPIs and acts as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group. Requires safety-conscious work practices and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, and operate in a noisy environment. Additional duties may include participation in ongoing education and adherence to company programs and policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
