Job Summary
Oversee daily body shop operations by directing technician schedules, assigning repairs based on skill levels, and ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to safety policies. Hire, train, and monitor the performance of all employees while creating a cohesive team with a positive attitude. Optimize customer value and profitability by maintaining existing relationships, resolving complaints, and staying abreast of market conditions and federal, state, and local regulations. Regularly monitor actual performance to determine reasons for variance and develop strategies to attain shop objectives. Maintain awareness of current and projected market conditions while ensuring all repairs are completed correctly within an acceptable time frame.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an auto body repair facility
- Working knowledge of body repair methods
- 3-5 years of managerial experience
- Excellent communication, managerial, and problem-solving skills including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills to meet changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional and dependable
- Safety and customer service focused
- Strong computer and internet skills
