Job Summary
Auto Body Shop Estimator assesses damaged vehicles by performing physical inspections, determining the extent of damage, documenting needed repairs, and reviewing repair shop estimates with customers and technicians. Responsibilities include communicating with technicians and customers, working with varied insurance companies and their procedures, following vehicles through the repair process, ensuring timely, high-quality repairs, and determining vehicle value with supporting documentation. Requires 1-3 years of auto body repairs experience, proficiency with CCC One estimating software, ability to create/read repair estimates, I-CAR exposure or willingness to take I-CAR classes, and strong written/verbal communication.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience with Auto Body repairs in a shop environment
- CCC One estimating platform experience
- Ability to create and read repair estimates
- I-CAR experience or willingness to take I-CAR classes
- Previous experience as an Automotive Estimator is preferred
- Computer knowledge and ability
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
