Job Summary
Mid-level Auto Adjuster responsible for end-to-end management of moderately complex auto insurance claims, including liability investigation, coverage application, negotiation and settlement, and documentation of decision-making. Performs investigations using sources like police and witness statements, collaborates with internal/external partners, supports CAT deployment as needed, and applies knowledge of P&C products, policy language, and state regulations. Role requires in-office presence in Tampa, FL three days per week after an initial in-office period, with hybrid flexibility, and requires obtaining an insurance adjuster license within 90 days. Also emphasizes strong negotiation, communication, and customer-service skills, plus proficiency with claims systems (e.g., Guidewire) and a Bachelor’s degree or industry designation as a differentiator.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- 1 year of customer service experience
- Progressive experience handling low complexity auto non injury liability claims
- Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts
- Developing knowledge and understanding of auto claims contracts as well as application of case law and state laws and regulations
- Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient in prioritizing and multi-tasking, including navigating through multiple business applications
