Job Summary
Autism Support Specialist-EIDBI Level II needed for a home-based ABA program in Norway Health Center, serving children and youth with ASD in the Twin Cities area. Role involves 1:1 ABA-based intervention in home/community settings under supervision, data collection, collaboration with families, participation in supervision and trainings, crisis management as needed, and maintaining compliant documentation. Requires meeting one of several qualification pathways (degrees with hours of ASD-related experience or equivalent supervised hours, graduate student status, or other DHS-recognized pathways). Hours are flexible with a hybrid work arrangement (office and client’s home) in Saint Paul, MN. Competitive hourly pay ($20-$27/hour) with benefits including RBT training, health benefits, retirement plan, PTO, and professional growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Pathway: degree in behavioral health, child development, or related field AND 1,000 hours of clinical experience or training with individuals with ASD OR equivalent graduate coursework OR certification as BCaBA/RBT/Others recognized by DHS
- Associate’s Degree Pathway: degree in behavioral health/child development or related field AND at least 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience with ASD/related conditions
- Experience-Only Pathway: at least 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience with ASD/related conditions
- Graduate Student Pathway: currently enrolled in graduate program and assigned to EIDBI provider agency for clinical training under a QSP
- Language/Cultural Provider Pathway: fluent in non-English or tribal certification with required trainings and weekly supervision until 1,000 supervised hours met
- Bachelor’s-in-Progress Pathway: currently enrolled in or recently completed bachelor’s in behavioral health with twice-monthly supervision until 1,000 supervised hours met
- Treatment Modality Pathway: completed initial certification in agency’s treatment modality with weekly supervision until 1,000 supervised hours met
- Must provide documentation to verify eligibility as an EIDBI Level 2 provider
- Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy, patience, and ability to build rapport
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation and carry own vehicle insurance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client schedules
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
