Job Summary
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and promote the educational growth of students according to their individualized educational plans (IEP). Relate to culturally diverse students while maintaining a positive learning environment and demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. Ensure physical capacity to perform major responsibilities, including lifting 50 pounds. This temporary leave replacement role requires a valid New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification and NJ residency within one year of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification and/or valid New Jersey Teacher of the Handicapped
- Willingness to work with students with diverse needs
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical and mental capacity to perform major job responsibilities including but not limited to the ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must be NJ resident within one year from date of hire
