Autism Paraprofessional - Behavior Support (ABA-Aligned) / North Hartsville Elementary School

Implement instructional strategies aligned with ABA principles under the supervision of the Autism Coordinating Teacher to support students in general and special education classrooms. Provide direct supervision of students at all times while facilitating small group instruction focused on functional, social, and behavioral goals. Collect and record data on student behavior, progress toward goals, and intervention effectiveness using evidence-based strategies such as prompting, reinforcement, and task analysis. Support de-escalation and crisis intervention using trained techniques and collaborate with teachers to ensure consistency of interventions. Assist with development of instructional materials and promote independence by fading supports appropriately. This 190-day position requires travel between multiple school sites within a designated geographic area. A negative TB test result must be on file prior to starting work.
