Job Summary
Job Developer provides personalized employment services to support individuals in preparing for, securing, and maintaining meaningful work in autism-focused, community-based settings. Responsibilities include meeting with individuals to identify job interests and goals, creating personalized employment plans, conducting skill assessments, building relationships with employers, providing employers with information and resources about hiring individuals with disabilities, assisting with job development and negotiation, on-site job training and coaching, coordinating transportation options, and collaborating with families and staff to promote independence and sustainable employment outcomes. Requires flexible, professional communication and the ability to support participants in achieving long-term employment objectives. The role offers a competitive benefits package and a hourly wage of $24/hour, classified as full-time and non-exempt.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation, Business, Marketing, Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Associate’s degree and one year of work experience related to job assessment, job finding, or employment supports
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years of work experience related to job assessment, job finding, or employment supports
- Ability to obtain Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) certification or equivalent within 6 months of employment
- Effective communication and proficient computer skills
- Valid driver’s license with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
- Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications
