Job Summary
Verify insurance eligibility and confirm payer sources for all referrals while managing the authorization process, including monitoring calls and requests from providers. Obtain and provide clinical information needed for authorizations and communicate authorization status to field and scheduling staff. Support intake processes, maintain accurate clinical records, and provide backup assistance to Intake and Scheduling Coordinators. Protect patient and organizational confidentiality while maintaining knowledge of state, federal, and CHAP documentation regulations. This role ensures smooth operations by fostering positive relationships with providers and referral sources.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in insurance eligibility and authorizations
- Knowledge of information systems and corporate business management
- Familiarity with governmental regulations
- Strong communication and public relations skills
- Ability to work independently with organization, flexibility, and cooperation
