Job Summary
Seeking an Authorization Specialist for remote position responsible for managing prior authorization for patient medications; requires three years of experience in authorization or billing.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of authorization or billing experience
- Minimum of 2 years authorization, reimbursement or claims processing experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic accounting transaction/analyst skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify research and solve problems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Practical experience with Microsoft computer systems and applications, to include Word & Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Practical experience with medical terminology
- Practical experience with Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payor contracts
- Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security requirements
